My Journey

My journey to becoming a Certified Equine Massage Therapist (CEMT) was forged by a lifelong passion: helping horses truly thrive. This dedication started in my youth but accelerated five years ago when the challenges of owning my own four-year-old gelding and weanling filly pony demanded a deeper level of knowledge. Managing everything from essential equine maintenance to complex injuries forced me to commit to a comprehensive, real-world approach to equine well-being.

In 2022, seeking to master the complexities of horse handling, I trained under a professional expert in rural Minnesota, gaining invaluable insight into everything from police horses to backyard ponies. This immersive experience was bolstered by participation in numerous clinics with specialists in chiropractic, saddle fitting, farriery, and equine massage therapy.

My commitment intensified when my filly sustained a severe leg injury. Managing her recovery, which required deep structural soundness knowledge, propelled me into formal education. I attended equine massage therapy school and further committed to a year-long apprenticeship with a farrier, gaining crucial ground-level experience in corrective farriery support and diverse hoof conditions. This unique combination of hands-on, high-level training in equine bodywork and limb structure sets my practice apart.

At Core Kinetic Equine Services, I merge that lifelong dedication, the invaluable lessons learned from my own horses' complex issues, and a robust foundation of formal, certified education. Every service, from meticulous soft tissue evaluation and equine conformation analysis to targeted performance horse massage and empowering rider-horse partnership workshops, is built upon this comprehensive understanding. I never take for granted the opportunity to empower both horses and their riders to achieve their absolute best, enhancing equine well-being and ensuring peak athletic potential.
